April marked the end of the 2024-25 season with output levels and prices back to 2020-21 levels. After two consecutive years of drought driven shortfall barely reaching 2.5M tons and demand driven producer price records of $10/liter. Output surged back to 3.3M tons selling for up to $5/liter for top EVOO grades. Spring rains efflorescence at the olive groves holds the promise for another bountiful harvest. Current demand at $5/liter is estimated at 4M tons.
