Moleon Premium and Early Harvest, which won a Gold Medal Award at the 2005 Los Angeles International E.V.O. Oil Competition, compete against the top Tuscan, Californian and other highly rated estate olive oils of the world in delicatessens in the USA and selected European markets. They command a retail price at store shelves of $20 to $25 for the half litter bottle. Moleon Village was recently introduced as a mid-price blend of consistent quality destined for supermarkets and the Food Service Industry. It will retail at store shelves for $12 to $16 the half litter bottle. Its content can also be packaged on behalf of private labels.
Moleon was introduced to the US market in 2005 as the only Greek olive oil offered by Zingermans Deli and Mail Order outfits. Subsequently, it was placed in selected delicatessens in the Southeast where its marketability was successfully tested. In early 2007 the Moleon oils were chosen by The Fresh Market supermarket and are sold throughout the chain’s 70 stores.
